Boozer Keeps Company With The Media

Summertime has found Carlos Boozer very visible as far as the media is concerned. Once the Utah Jazz exited the playoffs (much earlier than they had hoped), Boozer became fairly vocal about his talent and his desires. He’s not bashing anybody at this point, in fact he has been quite complimentary toward Coach Jerry Sloan and certain teammates, especially Deron Williams. That’s good because, as he found out last year, you never know how the cards are going to be played. He may very well want to be playing in Miami, or if not there, perhaps New York, or some other big market and yet there is a chance he could find himself in a Jazz uniform for another season. If that proves to be the case, there is no sense in burning any bridges. Reason indicates that it also may be a good idea to keep your name circulating while important team rosters are being considered. The speculation will likely go on for another several weeks until key free agent players start landing in their future roles. It is going to be interesting to see how things unfold.
