All the preliminaries have taken place and the final contest for the best football team in the country will occur in less than two weeks. Super Bowl XLV (45) will be viewed by an estimated 100 million plus and will be seen in countries all over the globe. When the NFL Champion Green Bay Packers take the field for the final battle against the AFC Champion Pittsburg Steelers it will be a contest against two teams who have been there before. This will be the second time in three years that the Steelers have landed in the final play-off and the eighth time overall. They have won six of those contests, the most of any team in the history of the Super Bowl. It will be the fourth appearance for Green Bay, having won three of those games. One can see that there is a lot of history behind these two teams and plenty of fans will be rooting for each of them.
Kick-off will take place at Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas, a state that has hosted the big game on two other occasions. On this particular occasion, the Packers will be heading into the game as 3 point favorites which is a position they have enjoyed in each of their play-off appearances. The Steelers are not used to being considered as the “underdogs” and will, no doubt, have a score to settle.
Super Bowl Sunday will be the first meeting for these two teams this season. The Steelers were the victors the last time these teams squared off against each other and likely there are millions of fans who are hoping for the same result this time around.
