Jazz Win, But No Sparks Were Flying

Last nights match-up between the Utah Jazz and the New Jersey Nets was a rather low-key event. Right from the start of the game it was obvious that there was a general lack of intensity on both sides of the court. It should be noted that this Nets team is far better than it has been in previous years. They have a solid coach in former Spurs player, Avery Johnson and have acquired some good players in the off season. Baskets just were not dropping for the home team last night however and they missed a lot of opportunities by failing to get rebounds. The team managed to get some pretty even scoring from the starters which allowed them to avoid digging a hole for themselves early in the game which has been the pattern of late. It was good to see Raja Bell back in the line-up after missing the last game due to a sprained left abductor. The Jazz were the eventual winners with a final score of 98-88 and a win is a win.
