The Curtain Closes On Kurt Warner’s Illustrious Career

One of the great ones has cleaned out his locker and bid farewell to the game he loved so much. Kurt Warner made the decision to leave professional football with one year left on his 2 year-23 million dollar contract with the Arizona Cardinals. His skills remain undiminished but the brutal hit he took earlier this month when playing against the New Orleans Saints brought things into focus for the gifted quarterback. A deeply religious man, he was aware of his good fortune and great blessings and expressed gratitutde to God for allowing him such “an amazing ride”, including 12 years in the league, 100 touch-down passes and 14,000 yards for two different teams, the St. Louis Rams and the Az. Cardinals. The game of football has lost an outstanding player and a truly decent human being.
