Things Are Looking Up For The Jazz

Posted by

After a period when it seemed like nothing was happening to improve the Jazz roster, things are starting to turn around. Having Al Jefferson join the team was good news and now it appears that he’ll be followed by former Jazzman, Raja Bell. Raja was popular with the Utah fans when he played here previously and the feeling is mutual with Bell saying that he was “thrilled” to be back with this organization. Bell will need to undergo and pass a physical before the deal is sealed but if that happens as expected, Wesley Matthews will be on his way to Portland. The Jazz will be unable to match their lucrative offer with the addition of Raja. Management says that their next order of business is to secure the re-signing of Kyrylo Fesenko. When that takes place, the Jazz look to be “beefed” up in the center position which was a top goal for this off-season. We will miss Wesley Matthews and his tough defensive play but hopefully the new pieces that are being added to the Jazz roster will make his absence a little less painful.
