We figured that our blog readers might be interested in knowing something about the people who contribute to our blog.  Well, here they are…

Richard
Richard is one of the owners of RobbinsSports.com.  He was a high school athlete who still attempts to draw as much respect and authority as possible from his prep accomplishments.  Richard was a pitcher and outfielder for his high school baseball teams in Utah and Florida.  He played inside and outside linebacker on the football team, and he was an all-state wrestler.  He also attempted to throw the javelin on the high school track team, but was considered too unpredictable to weild such a potentially dangerous weapon.

Richard’s favorite sports to watch are football (especially at the college level) and basketball.  He is a lifelong fan of Florida State Seminoles football and baseball, and he has recently adopted the Utah Jazz as his NBA team of choice.  Having graduated from Brigham Young University, Richard also enjoys watching the Cougs compete.

Nishan
Nishan is a certified critic of all sports and athletes (among other things).  In his glory days, he was a thriving soccer player.  He currently participates in most college intramural sports from which he hasn’t been banned for not getting along with the referrees.

Nishan has been a closet Warriors fan until the 2006-07 season, when he jumped on the band wagon with the rest of the Warriors who “believed” until the Jazz series.

Julie
Julie is a Texas A&M student who participates in a variety of intramural sports.  She ran track and cross country in high school.  One of her favorite events is family reunion potato sack racing, a sport for which she is known for tactics that border cheating.

Julie’s favorite sports team of all time is the San Antonio Spurs, mostly because she sees something special in Tony Parker (”Wee-wee”).  She vehemently denies any connection between Tim Donaghy and any of the Spurs championships…but only time will tell.

Lisa
Lisa is a former high school cheerleader and cross country runner.  She enjoys watching most sports with her husband, especially football and basketball.  A die hard fitness advocate, Lisa always keeps in touch with the latest trends in health and fitness.

  1. Hi Richard,

I’m wondering if you are still living in Shanghai or anywhere in China? I have some questions, and I was wondering if I could get your help. Thanks.
