Cycling Can Be Both Rugged And Rewarding

Posted by

If you ask any professional biker, they will tell you biking is not for the weak of heart. It’s great to feel the wind against your face as you roll your bike down a hill. But it’s a different story when you are trying to bike up a hill and all your leg muscles are screaming with pain. Yet, it is gratifying when you reach the top of the hill and you experience the feeling of pleasant fatigue.

Life is very much like cycling. Sometimes you are going forward smoothly with no bumps on the road and there are no sudden turns that forces you to make a quick decision. You are going steady and the path is predictable. At times you feel you are freely moving and nothing is getting in your way or slowing you down. Things are easy and you feel the wind pushing you further.

We love having those moments but these are very fleeting. Enjoy it while it lasts because they won’t last for very long. One day you’ll find yourself in a situation where you see nothing but hills you have to climb ahead of you. These are the times you have to work harder for everything and the effort you put in is quite exhausting. It would be tempting to quit and you feel like you don’t have the energy to go on. If you keep on pushing harder and reach the top of the hill, you know that all the effort you put in was worth it and the success you feel is immeasurable.
