Denver Broncos Had a Great Season Opener

Posted by

I missed watching the entire football game last week due to a road trip but fortunately, I found the game of Oakland Raiders versus Denver Broncos on ESPN. I barely made it to the start of the second half. At this point, the Broncos were already leading and it is apparent that they were going to win the game. But I was surprised by what I saw.

I’ve been a Broncos fan since I grew up in Colorado. But since John Elway retired, the team has been struggling. This year might be a better one for them. Though they started the season with a win against Oakland, it wasn’t that significant because Oakland is the worst team in the league.

Jay Cutler has been the Broncos quarterback for some years now. Though he’s not quite a veteran yet, he has earned the experience he needs to lead the team to victory.

The Broncos also has some new faces to watch out for. Eddie Royal is one impressive rookie. Royal is from Virginia Tech and showed NFL how well he is as a wide receiver. He finished the game with 9 catches in a total of 146 yards and 1 touchdown. Selvin Young is equally amazing as a young running back. He delivered 7 carries in 36 yards and 1 touchdown.

By defeating Oakland, Denver now leads the conference. In the next few weeks they will face up to better teams and have the opportunity to prove they could be the champions.
