How to Create a Good Exercise Program

Posted by

You have to admit, exercise is a challenge especially if you don’t have an exercise routine you should do at the gym. The various machines and exercises you will find each has its own purpose. In order to feel great about yourself you must have a balanced exercise. Exercise has two categories – anaerobic and aerobic.

Aerobic is an exercise form that makes the body consume excess amounts of oxygen in a given period of time. In aerobic exercise, your heartbeat should run between 70 to 80 percent of the maximum heartbeat rate. To determine your maximum heartbeat rate, subtract your age from 220. Aerobic exercises are in the form of running, cycling, swimming, dancing and engaging in sports requiring long steady movements like tennis, soccer, racquetball and basketball.

Anaerobic are quick, powerful exercises that require large oxygen intake for short periods of time. The examples of these exercises are weight lifting with machines and free weights and stretching.

You have to implement both kinds of exercises into our routine whether you are trying to lose weight or gain some muscle. Aerobic exercises burn calories so you can lose weight or warm up the muscles if you aim to gain weight. Anaerobic exercises burn fat cells faster than aerobics, if you aim to reduce weight or tear the muscles to make them larger to gain more strength.
