It’s Almost Time For The Jazz Preseason Opener

Hallelujah! After several months of drought from basketball games the season is about to get underway, a fact which makes fans very happy indeed. Basketball is one of the best things about winter here in Salt Lake City. On days when the sun goes into hiding at 4:30 or 5:00 not to be seen until 8:00 or so the next morning it is great to have something to look forward to on those long winter nights. Even if one isn’t fortunate enough to have tickets to see the games in person, having a front row seat right in your own living room isn’t half bad. This year, with the addition of some good players such as Al Jefferson, Gordon Hayward and the re-signing of Raja Bell, fans have great hopes that the Jazz will perform well. It’s true that a lot of talent was lost via trades this summer but a lot of other talent was also acquired and with that new talent come hopes that there will be a lot of wins for the Utah team during the 2010-2011 season. The preseason opener will take place this Thursday at Energy Solutions Arena where the Jazz will meet the Portland Trailblazers. It would be nice to start things off right with a win on this first outing.
