Jazz Clinch Play-off Spot

Posted by

The Monday night victory of Jazz over the New York Knicks got them a position in the play-offs. Though Utah started the game with accurate shots and gained 44 points during the first quarter, their efficiency diminished during the second half of the game. After halftime, their high shooting percentage they claimed during early parts of the game plunged and the team struggled just to keep ahead of the New York team.

Al Harrington, Knicks’ team forward, gained 26 points and 17 rebounds it was not enough to prevent Jazz from winning with their combined points from Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams totaling 49. Their final score of 103-98 positioned Jazz to top the Northwest Division and third in Western Conference standings. Only 7 games remain for the season and there will be a lot of fighting to see who makes it to the top spot for the play-offs.
