RSL Comes Up Big Against D.C. United

They must have heard the coaches rumblings about their mediocre play of late because the Real came out blazing last night against D.C. United. There was nothing mediocre about the effort they put forth on their home field, Rio Tinto Stadium, in front of over seventeen thousand jubilant fans. The win obviously had a positive impact on their bruised egos as well and their hopes of staying close to league leader, the L.A. Galaxy. In addition, they were able to add three more points to their season total with this very convincing win. 12 games remain in the season and the Real would like to claim a good share of those wins. Coach Jason Kreis was happy with Saturday nights effort as well. His theory is that whoever scores that first goal in a game has a great deal of momentum and that is hard to overcome. That certainly has been the case for the Real on their home field this season. They have won every game when they have been the first team to put a score on the board. The fans are all hoping that they are the team to put the first ball through the goal when they meet the Kansas City Wizards next week.
