Tennis World Is In Full Swing

In Melbourne, the Australian Open is in full swing and while the crowd favorites continue to win, one former athlete is using this stage to reenter the tennis scene. In 2008, Justine Henin left the sport holding the number one rank in back swinging. This 7 time Grand Slam winner defeated Alisa Kleybanova who ranked number 5 during their match on Wednesday. He won another game against the same player ensuring his fourth round appearance.

In the mean time, Roger Federer of Switzerland, the king in the world of tennis, met up with Britain’s royalty, Prince William, who was watching the tournament. On Thursday, Federer defeated Victor Hanescu.

American Andy Roddick won against Spain’s Feliciano Lopez. It’s good to see former first placer Roddick redeem his glory after losing in Wimbleton last year to Federer. Hopefully this will be a good year for him.
