Utes Open With A Red Hot Win

Posted by

Last night was the Utah Utes football team season opening game against the 15th ranking Pittsburg. The team played well during the first half of the game in front of a sold out stadium of 45,700. The Utes had a half time score of 14-7.

During the third quarter there was an obvious lack of efficiency and it carried into the fourth quarter which resulted to a tie when regulation time ended. The game ended with the winning field goal kick by Joe Phillips. The fans were very happy to start the season with a win and are hoping there will be more in the future. Jordan Wynn, Utah quarterback admitted that the defense they played got the job done in this game. He and the other players need to play better offense in the future. The win got everybody’s spirits high and so are their expectations for the next game with UNLV.
